Abstract: The rediscovery of the original manuscripts of several Hahnemann-letters is to be pointed out. They contain notes about the philosopher Kant which are completely and exactly reproduced.Hahnemann argued with Kant in the Tradition of the enlightenment against any speculation and in favour of empirism and reason. lt can be proved that Hahnemann knew and made use of an important publication/work in medical history and philosophy of the eighteenth century: "Von der Erfahrung der Arzneykunst" ("On the Experience of the Art of Medicine") by J. G. Zimmermann.Hahnemann arrives - together with Kant beyond rationalism and empirism of the eighteenth century and, parallel to Kant, tried to explain his practical medicine scientifically.Homeopathy since Haehl and Tischner, but especially since Fränzki (1976) has depicted the relationship between Kant and Hahnemann wrongly, and prepared a wrong usage of the "a priori" (as a medical knowledge of a priori).Since the congeniallity of the philosophical and the medical innovator could historically be proved, the way is free for a systematical comparison of the scientific approaches. The concept of analogy is proved to be identical with homeopathic concept of similars and the philosophical analogy-conclusion is brought into relation with the healing according to the law of simliars.lt must be left to future comparative work to investigate in how far Hahnemanns law of similars can be looked upon as a synthetic principle a prior!.
