Abstract: Certain substances isolated from mistletoe demonstrate interesting biological properties. These substances are the following:1. Proteins, like viscotoxins, lectins and their A and B chains, complex VP 16.2. Alkaloids.3. Polysaccharides.An outline of the chemical structure of these substances, of their pharmacological activities in animals and an cultured eucaryotic cells and of their biochemical interactions are presented.
