Intestinale Resorption von Makromolekülen

Abstract: Biological active macromolecules extracted from plants or animals, which have regulatory functions within organisms and are used in empiric therapy from time immemorial, loose their importance in modern medicine because their absorption is controversial discussed. It is said, that i.e. oral -administered hydrolytic enzymes in enteric coated tablets are destroyed before absorption or their transport through the intestinal wall is too little, so that it is impossible to gain efficient titres of macromolecular drugs. Another argument against macromolecular biological ingredients is their immunologic activity by which allergic reactions are induced. The essay an hand deals with the verbal criticism of macromolecular absorption, it reviews critically experimental strategies and analytical techniques in absorption physiology described in literature. It deals with intestinal transfer mechanisms for biopolymeric substances as well as enteropancreatic circle and proves, that different orally given hydrolytic enzymes are absorbed in efficient levels, so that they can be used effectively in modern therapy.
