Abstract: In classical behavior test the anxiolytic effect of dilutions of Ignatia and Gelsemium is not constant and weak as compared to reference products. We have developped a model to study anxiety that takes in consideration certains aspects of homeopathy. The study was performed on 6 (1st series) or 7 (2nd series) lots of 10 swiss mice housed under controlled conditions . The control lor received pure for injection (p.f.i) water, the other animals were treated with an antagonist of benzodiazepin sites (RO 15-3505, 0.5 mg/kg) twice daily by the i.p. route for 20-30 days consecutively. The same animals were given the different homeopathic treatments: Ignatia 5 CH and 15 CH, Gelsemium 5 CH O 15-3505 alone or in treated animals.
