Effect of a 7 CH Dilution of Histamine on the basophile Degranulation and specific Histamine Liberation in allergic subjects

Abstract: Personnal work and that of other research groups have led us to study the eventual effect of the 7CH dilution of histamine on the basophil degranulation test (HBDT) or histamine liberation (SLHT) in subjects allergic to Dermatophagofdes pteronyssimus. In ten subjects, we investigated specific and total IgE ( PRIST- RAST immuno-enzymatic method); HBDT in the presence of buffer, histamine at the dilution of 7CH or 0.1 mg of ketotifen; SLHT under the same conditions. The isolated basophils were preincubated with the test substances for 3 min. (5 subjects), 15 min. (2 subjects) or 30 min. (3 subjects).
