Abstract: Examines client groups that music therapists are involved with and the role music therapists have in relation to other services. Emphasis is placed on 3 specific areas of work: therapy approaches to working with the behaviorally disturbed, a program of work with profoundly physically and mentally handicapped clients, and assessment and diagnostic evaluation with young children referred to special services. Examples of therapy work in each situation are provided.
