Abstract: This paper aims to establish: 1) What is happening in each Registered Music Theraspist's job in Victoria. 2) What the prospects are for the music therapy positions in these facilities as they stand in 1988. 3) Which facilities presently without a music therapist would like to employ one: and 4) a projected five year plan to increase the number of RMTs and positions Australia. A telephone survey focussing on Victorian M.T.'s enquired as to wether MTs were aware of their salery award structure, roles they assumed at work, how long they saw themselves remaining in music therapy, and what they saw happening to their position in three years time.
