Abstract: The paper in hand presents two different models, by which the measurement of the effects of some selected homoeopathics in the cellular metabolism is rendered possible. Orally applicated zincum and phosphorus - as commercially available lactose tablets - influence the histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells. The concentration of the tripeptide glutathione and the activity of the enzyme glutathione-peroxidase can be changed by, intraperitoneal applicationn (9 a.m. or 6 p.m.). The obtained effects can be interpreted as compartment-specific actions of the preparations.
