Dependency as a personality trait in forensic psychiatric patients: a case study in music therapy |
Abstract: This pilot illustrates the theoretical perspective that dependency and rhythmic flexibility in an interactional context are parallel concepts. Focusing and encouraging the latter, the hypothesis states, can bring about change in the former. A case study of 21 sessions in music therapy with a 35 year old dependent prisoner was used to illustrate the perspective.
