Abstract: This paper examines the views of mainstream school systems as regards music education for the disabled. As well as this three case studies are presented. The first deals carrying out guitar lessons with a visually impaired child with brain damage. The second conserns a man in his twenties with cerebral palsy, and a moderate intelectual handicap. The third is a student with Down's syndrome.
