Abstract: Lecturer reports on her research on naming or recognising emotions in music. She investigates three groups of persons: 5/6-year-olds, ten-year-olds, and adults who were played 8 fragments of (classical) music. With each fragment a face expressing happy, angry, afraid, or sad could be chosen. Her final conclusion is that a reasonable transference of emotions by music has been established. With diagrams. Is followed by a reaction of music therapist E. v. Rest.
