Abstract: The Author shows with the aid of known anatomical and physiological facts the rise, transport, and distribution of body-heat and its loss to environment. A special subject is thermoregulation and its modulation by endogene and exogene stimulations. Thereby skin does not regulate uniformly, but in very different ways according to the area regarded. These effects are buried in periodic rhythmic fluctuations and individual reactions.
