Wirkung von Ginkgo-biloba-Extrakt bei arterieller Verschlußkrankheit

Abstract: In an acute trial, the effect of an intravenous application of ginkgo biloba extract (35 mg GbE) was tested an patients with intermittent claudication during an ergometric stress situation. With ginkgo biloba the patients were able to sustain stress longer, the lactate pyruvate quotient increased less, pH only sank slightly, base excess and p02 responded accordingly. The increased erythrocyte aggregation developing during exercise was normalized. Blood and plasma viscosity were significantly reduced. On the whole, ginkgo biloba extract seems to improve perfusion in the badly circulated areas.
