Abstract: This paper describes a music therapy program presented at a Community Based Centre for Children with special needs, including children with special needs, physiological and physical impairments, as well as children with normal intelligence but with behavior and learning problems. It is found that using music therapy techniques increases confidence and self image, which leads to control and to achievement on the part of the child, and understanding, acceptance and support for the child on the part of the family.
