Abstract: An encompassing view of the music therapy education of Aalborg University (founded 1982). In focus is the division of the education in three lines - obligatory to all students - of equal importance. 1. learning music therapy 2. training in musical skills 3. theory and science Each discipline of the respective lines is described and the pedagogical and ideological aims are discussed. Line nr. 1 is exemplified through a casestudy (a student in individual music therapy) revealing the resources / qualifications the student may develop via this personal pedagogic method (alien to classical university).
