Abstract: The reader is guided through a series of steps and considerations involved in planning a comprehensive social skills training program in a special education setting. This manual is a “working tool” designed to be used with students displaying a wide variety of handicapping behaviors; and presents the procedures to be incorporated in music therapy programs. Assists the therapist in developing skills in six areas: assessment, targeting, implementation, education, maintenance, and generalization.
