Working with the Deaf

Abstract: This article explains work in music sessions with profoundly deaf children in a day school, profoundly deaf children with additional handicaps, and partially hearing children with additional learning difficulties. The aims are to introduce children to a wide range of pleasurable musical activities leading to individual speech work.
