Abstract: Discusses the continued existence of the ontological problem of the nature of human life and the psychodynamics of the human's higher faculties. The reductionist concept of "neuronal man," which leaves such concepts as love, poetry, music, and the arts unexplained, is rejected. The author proposes a solution in the concept of "subjectivity," still impervious to scientific inquiry and to the subtlest phenomenology.
