Abstract: The necessity of integrating art and science has therapeutic significance for society. At a week-long specialist conference for pregnancy advisers - held experimentally as part of adult education - devoted to the "Dimensions of prenatal human life", five scientists and five art therapists cooperated as group leaders in verbal and art groups. Excerpts from the recorded sessions of the art groups for music, plastic art, drama and eurythmics suggest how in future art therapists from various schools and using various media can work creatively together with scientists, particularly when all are confronted with a social issue of great topicality and the need to come to terms with it.
