[Comparative analysis of the efficacy of different methods of acupuncture in the hyper- and hypokinetic types of circulation in hypertensive patients]
A series of 103 patients with Stage I--II essential hypertension (76 patients with the hyperkinetic and 36 with the hypokinetic type of circulation) were treated by corporal (according to the method of D. M. Tabeeva, 1978) and combined (corporal-auricular) acupuncture. The comparative analysis of the clinical, mechanocardiographic and rheoencephalographic findings showed that the treatment efficacy depended both on the type of circulation and on the method of acupuncture. The best clinical response was displayed by patients with the hyperkinetic type of circulation treated by the method of corporal acupuncture which was confirmed by the evidence of objective instrumental studies.
