Erfahrungen beim Einsatz des Paraffinbades TEP-8

Abstract: Aus den Staatsbädern Bad Brambach - Bad Elster (Ärztlicher Direktor: OMR Dr. med. G. Kaiser) Abt. Zentrale Physiotherapie (Leiter: OA Dr. med. K. Konzak) und dem Forschungsinstitut für Balneologie und Kurortwissenschaft Bad Elster (Direktor: OMR Prof. Dr. med. habil. H. Jordan) Zusammenfassung Thermophysikalische Besonderheiten der Paraffintherapie und Möglichkeiten der Applikation werden aufgezeigt und technische Parameter und Ergebnisse einer Testung des Paraffinbades TEP-8 aus der CSSR mittels lokaler Paraffinaufpinselungen an Kurpatienten vorgestellt. Ein verstärkter Einsatz der Paraffintherapie mit diesem Gerätetyp im Kur- und Bäderwesen der DDR wird empfohlen. Summary The thermophysical peculiarities of the paraffin therapy and the possibilities of application are shown. Technical parameters and the results of a test of the paraffin bath TEP-8 from the CSSR by means of local paraffin paintings on cure patients are presented. An increased use of the paraffin therapy with this device type in the health resorts and sanatoria of the GDR are recommended. ___MH
