Abstract: The reasons for establishing a network of laboratories to prepare metered Radon solutions for distrubition to the places of therapeutic use are first explained. Then the technology and handling of the preparation as well as application of Radon media for baths inhalativ or external use of Radon-air mixtures and drinking are described. Special emphasis is laid on radiation protection . Finally the principles of dosimetry in the therapeutic use of Radon are presented displaying some important results in table form.
