Abstract: The author is connected as a subject teacher to the institute for the deaf mentioned. Music and movement within the total education and teaching of deaf people is discussed. Some aspects mentioned: the playing song with an elaborate example; the use of the so-called wind-organ; the importance of the development of rhythm, and the relation with speech.
