Valeur therapeutique de la creation artistique. (The therapeutic value of artistic creation.)

Abstract: Contends that psychoanalytical theory provides a background for an understanding of how and why artistic creation can have therapeutic value. The realm of music, which reaches archaic levels of the mental process and is rooted in the symbiotic relationship between mother and child, is examined from a metapsychological perspective. It is concluded that artistic expression offers a means of reintegrating the different psychic experiences of an individual's past in time and space. (English abstract)
