Abstract: This paper presents the uses of music in the therapeutic approach to children with cerebral palsy. The basic characteristics of the disorder, including associated difficulties, are presented. In the author's view, music can be considered as an aid to the cognitive, physical, emotional, social, and expressive growth of the children. Literature supporting this view is presented. Specific music experiences designed to meet the needs of cerebral palsied children are offered.
