Music therapy in the treatment of the alcoholic client

Abstract: A brief overview of the use of music therapy i the treatment of alcoholic clients in a rehabilitation center is provided. Included are definitions of alcoholism and the alcoholic client and a description of the rehabilitation center involved. GRoup structure and group process are described; the value of groups structured to meet the needs of the alcoholic populations is discussed.
