Die Bedeutung des Spurenelementes Kupfer in Diagnostik und Therapie |
Journal/Book: Ärztezeitschrift für Naturheilverfahren. 1984; 25: 277-290.
Abstract: It is referred to the historical importance of the cop. per. The antiphlogistic effect of copper was already known to the Arabs and later to the Greek and Roman physicians. Paracelsus was the great re-discoverer. Also Hahnemann and Rademacher deserve of having emphasized such possibilities.—In modern times it was above all Heilmeyer and his school in the early thirties who pointed out the importance of the copper as "body agent. A renaissance as therapeutic seemed to be impossible since just in those years also the sulphonamides developed by Domagk conquered the market and, thus, made a safe, aimed copper therapy in case of inflammatory processes impossible. Cop. per remained as therapeutic in the largest extent of meaning "obsolete". This should be reviewed for reasons of rationalization of a non-toxic and safe therapy. The possibility/necessity of the integration of cop. per into the "vegetative total change" within the frame of the old and since long to medical history be. longing knowledge of a F. Hoff is emphasized. The copper belongs like Na and Ca to the elements to be related to the tonus of the sympathetic system, also "vegetatively" effective elements! The possibility for convincing oneself of the efficacy of an aimed copper therapy through a blood test carried out with unseparated blood before and after the copper therapy by means of a spectrophotometer and taking into account the symptomatology and the hospital, respectively, is pointed out.
