Behandlung von leichten stabilen Formen der Angina pectoris mit Crataegutt novo

Abstract: In a randomized controlled double-blind study, the efficacy of Crataegutt® novo film tablets (60 mg T.I.D., totalling 180 mg/day) has been compared against placebo in 60 patients with a stable form of angina pectoris (NYHA stages I and II). Assessment of the therapeutical efficacy was performed by evaluation of standardized ergometry. In this trial we were able to demonstrate, with Crataegutt novo, a significant rise in ergometric tolerance as the expression of ad increased coronary perfusion and economizing of myocardial oxygen consumption, apart from an improvement or normalization of pathological ECG findings prior to the study. Our data confirm that :Crataegutt novo is suitable for a treatment of stable forms of angina pectoris in NYHA stages I and II which is efficacious and free of side-effects, Under consideration of therapeutic benefit and risk, Crataegutt novo forms an alternative in the treatment of angina pectoris in stages not yet requiring nitrates, (3-receptor blocking agents and calcium antagonists.
