Musiktherapie und Psychoanalyse : die analytische Musiktherapie im Grenzbereich zwischen Musikausübung und Psychoanalyse

Abstract: A comparison between the theory and methods of Freud (and Max Graf) with the theory of method of Mary Priestley (Analytical Music Therapy). A chapter is devoted to the discussion of the functions of music in analytical music therapy: the release of aggression and associations, movements. The meaning of language and verbal interaction in analytical music therapy is discussed, with special attention to the question of transference and interpretation. The author discusses also Nordoff/Robbins' and G. Orff's music therapy. Contents: A.
