Abstract: Discusses art therapy as a part of the occupational therapy of neuroses. The art therapy is supervised by medical specialists and is designated to solve specific clinical problems. This is similar to independent psycho-therapeutic methods. Art therapy includes the elements of pure work-related activity (e.g., processing of wood, glass, metal), and can be used with all patients who suffer from neuroses, except those with writing spasm and those who are somatically weakened. The results of art therapy have been positive. This has been confirmed by the response of patients and an increased attendance in art-therapy classes. It is concluded that art therapy has a leading place in the complex of psycho-therapeutic methods to treat neurotic patients. (17 ref)
