Music therapy and reminiscence: A case study |

Abstract: Presents the case of a 78-yr-old woman suffering from exogenous depression who was treated in 7 1-hr group sessions using a combination of music/reminiscence therapy. Piano music, tape recordings, and records were used as well as life histories of the composers and an overview of the historic time of the composition. S scored significantly higher on a geriatric depression scale after treatment than before.
