Abstract: The literature of music therapy contains evaluations of treatment models but not their application in a clinical setting. This requires diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the light of the individual's diagnosis. A client-centered model for music therapy intervention is presented. If the model is followed and the results reported, the profession of music therapist will be more widely accepted as an integral part of the allied health movement. (18 ref)
