Abstract: The results of a double blind evaluation of true and placebo acupuncture in the treatment of 28 patients with active rheumatoid arthritis of the knee are presented in this study. There was no statistically significant difference between true or placebo acupuncture in all biological and clinical parameters evaluated in these patients.
