Die lokale Behandlung maligner Pleuraergüsse mit dem Mistelpräparat Iscador

Abstract: 50 cases of carcinomatous pleural effusions were given topical treatment with Iscador, a mistletoe preparation. The observations made in these cases are reviewed. In 92 percent of the patients the exudate disappeared after an average of 3.3 applications within 18 days. The results are compared with those in the literature and the considerably higher succes rate of this types of treatment is pointed out.
