Abstract: Describes the theoretical concept, the organization, and the daily operation of the Clinic for Neurotic Disease. The 32-bed facility provides patient treatment, conducts research on neuroses, and assesses new psychotherapeutic techniques. The therapeutic team includes psychologists, social workers, physicians, occupational therapists, a music therapist, a physical therapist, and nurses. Physicians' and psychologists' continuing education includes (a) supplementary training programs of several weeks' duration in the style of training laboratories in isolated locations for the purpose of self-experience, (b) 1-wk courses within the clinic, and (c) Balint groups.
