Art for children with minimal brain dysfunction |
Journal/Book: American Journal of Art Therapy. 1976; 15: 67-73.
Abstract: Describes an art program that was designed for children with minimal brain dysfunction (MBD). The methods used to facilitate the use of traditional art tools (e.g., clay, paint, 3-dimensional design, and felt-tip markers) with MBD children are presented. It is demonstrated that while the unstructured aspect of art poses some problems when used with such children, a program can be developed which considers these weaknesses.
