Abstract: This chapter reports a broad-based investigation of acupuncture, conducted as a joint project by the Departments of Neurology, Orthopaedics, Otorhinolaryngology, and Psychiatry at the, medical school, and the Departments of Statistics and Electronics at the University of Linköping. The component studies were planned by the Department of Statistics and designed as double-blind, randomized experiments with control groups.
