Abstract: The author of this lecture was one of the first in the Netherlands to study the possibilities of music as therapy for psychiatric patients, and test it in practice. Two approaches are introduced: the rhythmic relaxation therapy and the dynamic attention training. Except for applications for individual and group approach, they also turn out to be useful for integrated use with extramural cases.
