Adrenocorticotrophin-Releasing Hormone in Peripheral Blood: Increase during Stress |

Abstract: Abstract. Significant amounts of adrenocorticotrophin-releasing hormone appear in the peripheral blood under conditions of physiological stress. Associated with the appearance of this neurohormone is an increased antidiuretic activity. The neurohormone presumably enters the general circulation by way of the portal vessels of the anterior pituitary gland. ___MH
