Abstract: Viscum album (Bali) was found to contain several carcinostatic components, the most active one occuring in the native Protein fraction.The steps of purification included dialysis, distillation, extractions, heating precipitation and separation through ion exchangers. The tumor inhibition was tested in Ha/ICR Swiss mice bearing Sarcoma 180 and in cell cultures of Sarcoma 180, HeLa and Chang's liver.
