Abstract: Received for publication July 8 1958 SUMMARY The incorrect high values in the determination of uropepsin results from the color of the original specimen. Evidently incubation changes other substances that are present in the urine and then react with the reagent or otherwise add to the absorbance at the determination wavelength. ___MH
