Abstract: Ärztliche Zentralstelle Qualitätssicherung - Leitlinien-Clearingstelle Köln The German Manual for Clinical Practice Guidelines (GERM-CPG) 2. Organisation of CPG Development Zusammenfassung Neben einer ausführlichen Darstellung der deutschen Leitlinien-Programme - insbesondere des Programmes der AWMF - und des Leitlinien-Clearingverfahrens bei der ÄZQ nimmt das Leitlinien-Manual zur Organisation der Leitlinienentwicklung Stellung und beschreibt anhand von deutschen Leitlinienprojekten die Realisierung folgender Vorgaben zur Sicherung der Leitlinienqualität: Klare Nennung der für die Leitlinienentwicklung verantwortlichen Institution; detaillierte Angabe über finanzielle oder andere Formen der Unterstützung durch Dritte bei der Leitlinienerstellung; Diskussion möglicher Einflussnahme durch Sponsoren. Abstract In addition to a detailed description of the German scientific societies' CPG programmes and of the German Guidelines Clearinghouse GERM-CPG gives detailed recommendations concerning the organisation of CPG development: the agency responsible for development of the guideline should be clearly identified; sources of funding and other support for development of the guideline should be stated; if external funding or support is received there should be evidence that any potential biases of the funding bodies have been taken into account; overall the potential biases or conflicts of the guideline development process should be adequately dealt with. The statements' realisation is described by means of German CPG programmes.
