Abstract: Diseases of the sinuses are not really a disease but a symptom. In most of the cases they are caused by an intestinal disease. Sinusitis can definitely be objectified by imaging procedures like x-ray, computer tomography and ultrasound. The course of the treatment can be well controlled. It has to be distinguished between freedom from symptoms of the patient an the one hand and the objective healing an the other hand. Sinusitis is an epidemic disease, especially in winter. The treatment has to be performed according to Hahnemann's criteria "cito et iucunde". In the case of sinusitis, homeopathy can be ideally combined with naturopathy. The most important homeopathic remedies are Aconitum and Cinnabaris.
