Abstract: Dr. med. Scholz Norbert; Krefeld Zusammenfassung Chronische Obstipation führt nicht nur zu akuten Beschwerden. Sie erhöht auch das Risiko einer Autointoxikation und legt den Grundstein für viele Erkrankungen. Die Colon-Hydro-Therapie kann dem wirksam und ohne große Belastung für den Patienten entgegenwirken. Auch Ureter- und Nierensteine lassen sich mit Hilfe dieser Lavage konservativ behandeln. Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt die Entstehungsgeschichte dieser Darmspülung vor erläutert Wirkungsweise Indikationen und Kontraindikationen geht auf Studienergebnisse ein und bespricht kurz die verschiedenen Gerätetypen. Auch Kostenerstattungsprobleme und gesetzliche Vorschriften werden diskutiert. Summary Chronic constipation is not only a source of constant discomfort. It also increases the risk of autointoxication and is the starting-point for a great many ailments. Colon hydrotherapy is an effective therapy for this condition that does not represent a source of significant stress for the patient. Ureteroliths and kidney stones can also be treated conservatively with this lavage method. The present paper relates the origins and development of this colonic irrigation method explaining as well its mode of action indications and contraindications; relevant study results and the various equipment types are discussed along with cost coverage problems and legal regulations.
