Abstract: Short-term and long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy were the most frequent forms of treatment in the participating sample of therapists. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy made 32% of the total of psychotherapeutic interventions. Treatment outcome shows substantial reduction in sick leave, psychotropic medication and patient's attending for medical care. The results are discussed in terms of the availability of outpatient psychotherapeutic treatment, in terms of differential treatment selection and in terms of the validity of ''events-parameters'' in order to evaluate psychotherapeutic change.
