Tetanusimpfschutz - BFD-Test = Labor-Test?

Abstract: Vaccine protection against tetanus is determined in clinical medicine with the help of a laboratory test for the antibody titer against tetanus. With diagnostic acupuncture testing procedures a patient is known to be sufficiently vaccinated against tetanus, when the potency level D 30, D 60, or D 1 00 of the nosode tetanus fits in the test.In a prospective practical study, the results of laboratory tests and tests of the bioelectronic functional diagnosis (BFD), which were carried out parallel, were compared for a total of 30 patientslt was possible to determine a statistically significant correlation between the two result data. As this correlation is only r = 0.4, the two testing procedures can not be used alternatively for answering the same question. The author concludes, that with the BFD test the burden with tetanus toxin is investigated, while in the laboratory test, the immunological answer to contacts with the tetanus toxin is measured. As an excess of tetanus toxin also can have negative effects on the patient, the author recommends with respect to a sufficient vaccine protection, that primarily the BFD test should be carried out and the laboratory test only, when the potency D 1 00 or no potency at all can be measured. Should an antibody titer below 0.1 1.E. be determined, a hypervaccination is indicated.
