From ''consumption'' to ''culture'' - A virtual dialogue between media pedagogics and media production

Abstract: Media pedagogics constitutes a discipline of media sciences and, at the same time, an element of media culture. In both contexts, however, the dialogue across the borderlines between the different fields and branches proves to be problematic. This is exemplified by sketching different phases of a virtual dialogue between representatives of media pedagogics and of media production, as the distance between these two fields seems to be especially great, but also because it seems to he of major importance to the development of a media culture that this distance be overcome.
