Abstract: Differences in auditory evoked potentials with meaningful words and their reverse playback may reflect different neural processes in recognizing auditory stimuli. Auditory evoked potentials with the words and their reverse playback were analyzed for eight volunteers, and a maximal difference was observed at a latency around 400 msec.
