Maslow amended

Abstract: Maslow's theory of the hierarchy of needs is often badly stated, not least by Maslow himself. It seems worthwhile to amend it in such a way that it makes more sense and lines up better with other research along similar lines. It is hoped that the textbooks of the future will print the revised hierarchy instead of the original one.
