Abstract: Recent research on care-giver stress focuses extensively on its predictors and health consequences, especially for family members of persons with dementia, This review highlights findings from four areas of care-giver stress research: caregiver health outcomes, differential impacts of social support, care giving for family members with dementia, and balancing work and care-giving responsibilities.
